Bangladeshi worker killed in Malaysia accident

About eight workers were working at the site when the bricks fell from a crane, says a witness

A Bangladeshi worker has been killed and two others have been injured when some 200 bricks fell from a crane at a construction site in Malaysia.
The incident happened at around 1:40pm on Saturday at a construction site located at the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway, reports The Star of Malaysia.

Quoting a witness, who declined to be named, the report said.
“A Bangladeshi victim who in his 30s, suffered from serious head injuries and died on the spot. The other two who are also from Bangladesh were sent to hospital.”
About eight workers were working at the site when the bricks fell from a crane, hitting the workers, he said.
“The bricks fell on three foreign workers. Two of them were hit on their heads while the other suffered injuries to his foot.”
While contacted, Mantu Kumar Biswas, Labour Councillor of Bangladesh High Commission inMalaysia, told the Dhaka Tribune: “I am now driving my car. I will talk to you over the matter later.”
